Request a Quote

Send through your aircon request and our team will price the work for your home, office or premises. We handle supply, installation, repairs, spares and planned maintenance across Clairwood and greater eThekwini.

Request a Quote

1. Tell us what you need priced

Use this page when you want a clear price for new supply, installation, replacement or ongoing maintenance. The more detail you give us, the quicker we can match the right equipment and labour to the job. If you are unsure of the unit size or fault, just give us the room size, property type and what the system is doing.

We work from our Clairwood base in Durban and quote for domestic, commercial and light industrial work across Durban Central, South Durban, North Durban, West Durban and the wider eThekwini area. If your unit is failing during load-shedding, giving off a smell, leaking water, or tripping the power, mention that too.

2. What to include in your quote request

Good information helps us quote properly and avoid back-and-forth later. Please send the basics below, even if some details are estimated. If you need pricing for more than one unit, list each room or area separately so we can price each point correctly.

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • Address or suburb in Durban or eThekwini
  • Type of property: home, shop, office, workshop or other
  • What you need: supply, installation, replacement, repair or planned maintenance
  • Approximate room size or number of rooms
  • Any known fault, such as no cooling, low gas, noisy fan motor, blocked drain or control issue
  • Access details, parking limits or after-hours requirements

If you are replacing an old unit, tell us the current make, age and whether the copper pipes and drain line are still serviceable. Coastal humidity in Durban can shorten the life of fittings and boards, so that detail helps us price the job more accurately.

3. How our pricing process works

Once we receive your request, our team checks the scope and decides whether a call-out, site check or direct quote is the best route. For straightforward supply and install work, we can often price from the information you send. For older systems, hidden leaks or commercial sites, a site visit may be needed before final pricing.

Our Operations Manager, Anele Mkhize, and the service team review the request, then we come back with a practical quote that covers the work required. If parts are needed, our spares and gas team can confirm availability before we commit. That saves time when a compressor, fan motor, capacitor or contactor has to be sourced.

We keep the process plain and direct. You will get a price that reflects the job, the materials and the labour, with no guess work. If conditions change on site, we will explain the adjustment before work continues, not after the fact.

4. Work we commonly quote for

We quote on a wide range of domestic and commercial air-conditioning work, from small flat installations to larger business premises. Some requests are one-off repairs, while others are scheduled maintenance plans for landlords, offices and shops that need regular attention. Faults in Durban often show up after heavy summer use, so we also handle urgent breakdown call-outs.

  • Fault finding and breakdown call-out pricing
  • Regas and leak check work
  • Compressor replacement
  • Fan motor repair
  • Capacitors and contactors
  • Drain blockages and deep clean service
  • Controls repair and planned maintenance

If you are not sure what the fault is, that is fine. Give us the symptoms and we will guide you. Strange noise, ice on the indoor unit, weak airflow or warm air from a split system all give us useful clues.

5. What happens after you approve the quote

After you accept the price, we confirm the booking date, stock required and any access notes. For installations or replacements, we may ask for a final site confirmation before delivery, especially where ceiling space, pipe runs or electrical supply need checking. For maintenance work, we will confirm the service schedule and the number of units on site.

Our installations coordinator, Nokuthula Zungu, helps line up the work so the team arrives with the right parts and tools. For spares and gas orders, Ridwaan Khan handles supply checks and stock preparation. That keeps the job moving and reduces return visits.

Where possible, we plan around business hours so your office or shop can keep operating. If you need after-hours work, say so in the request and we will factor that in. In commercial spaces, we also take note of access rules, security sign-in and any municipal or body corporate requirements.

6. Help us quote faster with the right details

Small details often make a big difference to the final price. A single split unit in a bedroom is not the same as a multi-unit shop fit-out, and a ground floor home is not the same as a roof-mounted commercial system. If you can, include photos of the indoor unit, outdoor unit, remote, fault code display and the area around the unit.

  • Send photos of the unit and the problem area
  • Share any fault codes showing on the display
  • Let us know if the unit is under a ceiling or in a tight space
  • Say whether the system is still cooling at all or has stopped completely
  • Confirm if power has been checked and the breaker stays on

If you are dealing with repeated water leaks, mention whether the drain line has been cleaned before. In Durban’s humid weather, blocked drains and dirty coils can return quickly if the system is not serviced properly.

7. Send your request to Aircon Depot

Aircon Depot has been serving Clairwood, Durban and greater eThekwini since 2008. We are based in Clairwood and support homes, shops, offices and other premises across the metro. Our team includes Kavitha Naidoo, Anele Mkhize, Yusuf Ismail, Nokuthula Zungu, Ridwaan Khan and Kgaogelo Mashaba, so your request reaches people who know the work and the local conditions.

Email your quote request to depot@aircondepot.co.za with your name, number, suburb and the work you need priced. If it is urgent, say so clearly in the subject line. We will respond with the next step, whether that is a straight quote, a site visit or a parts check. If you need supply, installation or repair work in Durban, this is the best place to start.

Questions we get asked

Can I request a quote for both supply and installation?

Yes. Send the room details, address and whether you need one unit or several. We can price supply only, installation only, or a full supply and install job.

Do you quote for commercial maintenance plans?

Yes. We handle planned maintenance for offices, shops and other commercial sites across Durban and greater eThekwini. Tell us the number of units and how often you want them serviced.

What if I do not know what is wrong with the aircon?

That is fine. Describe the symptoms, such as no cooling, leaking water, noise or tripping power. We can advise whether a fault finding visit or a repair quote is the right next step.
